Italy: The deadlines for submitting work visa applications have now been set by the Italian government. Both seasonal and nonseasonal workers will benefit from the allotted dates. On December 27, 2021, the Court of Auditors registered the new Decreto Flussi. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on January 12, 2022, work visa applications through Italian employers will be accepted. Additionally, the application for pre-filling application forms will be available HERE, and will be supplied solely via telematic means.

Dates for submitting Decreto Flussi applications:

Applications can be sent from the following addresses:

Non-seasonal workers

Non-seasonal workers, self-employed workers, and conversions will be welcomed starting at 9:00 a.m. on January 27, 2022.

Non-seasonal employees in the road transport, construction, and tourist industries, as well as citizens of countries that have signed migratory cooperation agreements with Italy, are all subject to these concerns.

Citizens of countries with whom a migration cooperation agreement is not yet in place, on the other hand, can only submit applications starting the fifteenth day after the agreement is published in the Official Gazette.

Seasonal workers

  • from 9:00 on 1 February 2022 for the hiring of seasonal workers.

Like last year, the necessary prerequisite for the compilation and electronic submission of applications is the possession of a SPID identity, as illustrated by the Ministry of the Interior Circular no. 3738 of 4 December 2018 using, if possible, the same email address used for the SPID identity, as the username.

During the compilation and forwarding of questions, assistance is provided to users through a help desk service, which can provide technical information and can be reached via a request for assistance form using the  “Help Desk” link on the home page of the application, available to all registered users. All applications can be submitted until March 17, 2022, and will be processed on the basis of the respective chronological order of submission.

Application links and the forms can be found here.
