Digital Accessibility Commitment and Remediation Plan
XPATH.GLOBAL S.R.L. · WCAG 2.1 level AA · Corporate Social Responsibility
1. Commitment
xpath.global commits to bringing its digital platform into conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. We undertake to reach a WCAG 2.1 AA conformance rate in the 60–79% band within 6 months of contract start, through the remediation plan set out below, and to have conformance validated by an external accessibility audit. We further undertake to correct identified shortfalls and to train our staff, including new arrivals, on digital accessibility within 6 months.
2. Current status (transparent baseline)
We assess our current conformance at below 50%. Automated accessibility checks have been integrated into our development pipeline and run on every code change; the initial baseline identified 560 findings across 158 files. Manual screen-reader testing and testing with users of assistive technology are not yet in place and will be introduced as part of this plan. The most frequent and blocking failures currently observed are:
- Keyboard operability (WCAG 2.1.1) — all functionality operable from the keyboard.
- Focus visible (2.4.7) — a clearly visible keyboard focus indicator.
- Name, Role, Value (4.1.2) — accessible names on interactive controls (e.g. buttons).
- Contrast minimum (1.4.3) — sufficient text/background contrast.
- Resize / reflow and mobile zoom (1.4.4) — content usable when text is resized / zoomed.
- Status messages (4.1.3) — programmatic announcement of errors and status changes.
3. Remediation roadmap (6 months)
| Phase | Actions | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Month 0–1 | Establish the WCAG 2.1 AA compliance grid; combine automated results with a first manual screen-reader pass; remediate the highest-frequency blockers (keyboard operability, focus visible, accessible names). | Baseline measured; blocking issues cleared on core screens. |
| Month 1–3 | Remediate contrast, text resize/reflow and mobile zoom, and status/error announcement issues; fix the shared component library so corrections propagate across all screens. | Systemic issues resolved at component level. |
| Month 3–5 | Full manual audit against the compliance grid; testing with assistive technology; remediate remaining findings. | Conformance rate raised into the target band. |
| Month 5–6 | External validation audit; publish the accessibility statement; deliver staff training (front-end team and new arrivals). | Independently validated conformance; documentation and training in place. |
4. Validation, documentation and KPI
- Validation: conformance assessed using a compliance grid based on WCAG 2.1 AA, combining automated testing, manual screen-reader testing and an external validation audit.
- Documentation: an accessibility statement and the compliance grid are maintained and made available.
- KPI: WCAG 2.1 AA conformance rate (%) = applicable AA success criteria passed ÷ total applicable AA success criteria × 100. Target: reach the 60–79% band within 6 months. xpath.global commits to reporting this KPI and to integrating it into the contract.
5. Governance
A named accessibility referent is responsible for this plan, its measurement and reporting. Accessibility is integrated into the development workflow through automated checks on every change.
