Sponsorship amendments are planned by the UK government for 2022. The goal for 2021 is to remove perceived impediments so that businesses may make investment decisions and hire foreign employees with confidence.

Changes will be introduced in 2022 to provide a speedier and easier mechanism for sponsors to access abroad talent.

Strategy

Providing sponsors with a faster end-to-end approach to shorten the time it takes to recruit from outside the UK.

Making a new worker sponsorship system that is easier to understand.

The sponsorship system will include a dashboard that will help sponsors better understand the status of their sponsor license and what steps they must take.

By spring 2022, we’ll have improved service standards.

The new sponsorship IT system is one of the essential aspects of what the administration refers to as the “sponsorship transformation.”

By the end of 2022, all sponsors should be able to use an upgraded online administration system to perform post-licensing operations such as adding users to the license. According to reports, the new system will allow for the addition of more information, allowing the Home Office to have a better picture of the sponsor and the worker. This is said to make decision-making easier.

Compliance

According to the government, compliance will remain at the core of its strategy, with the Home Office focusing compliance visits on sponsors that pose a higher risk or have no history of compliance.

Non-compliance might result in limitations or limits on recruiting, managed action plans, or even license suspension and revocation.
