Japanese nationals: residence permits for the Netherlands
The process can differ according to the purpose of the stay. Japanese citizens benefit from a somewhat simplified manner of entering the Netherlands due to the fact that, unlike other non-EU foreign nationals, they do not need a long-stay visa (the MVV). However, they will need to apply for a temporary residence permit that will suit their purpose of stay.

Czech unemployment is the lowest in Europe
A spokesperson for the Czech Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said the unemployment rate is indeed “very low” and no significant changes are expected in the near future.
“At the same time, however, we have hundreds of thousands of available jobs,” the spokesperson said. “People who want to work can still find a suitable job in the Czech Republic.”

New York Employee Privacy Law – introduction
Starting in May, a new law will go into effect that requires New York state employers to provide written notice before monitoring their employees’ electronic communication. Initial notification occurs upon hiring, then at least once annually to all employees, informing them of the types of electronic monitoring which may occur.

There are still two different levels of accreditation:
Standard: intend to employ up to five migrant workers on AEWVs at any one time.
High-volume: intend to employ six or more migrant workers on AEWVs at any one time.
