The Malta Residency Agency, in collaboration with the state agency Malta Enterprise, will establish a new residence program, according to Malta’s Finance Minister.

The new initiative is aimed at entrepreneurs who will base themselves in Malta, and those who meet the program’s standards will be able to live in Malta and contribute to the country.

Entrepreneurs who wish to relocate and officially establish their residency in Malta under the start-up program must have a strong track record in business as well as a defined business plan and goal.

The idea of a start-up visa goes hand in hand with the recently introduced Malta Nomad Residence Permit, which is luring digital nomads from all over the world to live in Malta while running their businesses or completing their education.

Benefits of a Malta Start-Up Residence Permit

A solid English-speaking workforce, excellent healthcare facilities, and a mild environment all year-round are just a few of the advantages for enterprises that choose Malta as their principal base.

Maltese entrepreneurs would also benefit from having investors with a diverse set of perspectives, allowing them to interact with more experienced entrepreneurs from around the world.
